More Rare / Demo Tracks from Yazoo, Fad Gadget, Nitzer Ebb, & More

Hot on the tail of the mysterious release of short samples taken from the very first Depeche Mode demo, SoundCloud user MuteGuy has posted several more unreleased and demo recordings from other famous Mute Records artists including I Start Counting, Nitzer Ebb, Yazoo, and Fad Gadget. Interestingly enough, three of the tracks are re-interpretations of The Normal's "Warm Leatherette" by Nitzer Ebb, Fad Gadget, and Yazoo. Seems as if there is enough here to release a Mute rarities CD. That plus the name of the SoundCloud user makes me say hmm... Wishful thinking if nothing else.

As I was attempting to embed the clips from MuteGuy's page, they disappeared. Hmm. I'll keep checking back and if the tracks re-appear, I'll link them here.

UPDATE: Hmm... Now even the Depeche Mode demo track snippets appear to be gone. Mystery is afoot...

Perhaps somebody has applied pressure to SoundCloud (EMI, I am looking in your direction... their heavy hand in all over Mute these days).

Pure speculation, of course...

Alan,

Perhaps that should be 'grabbing hands'? ;)
