New Order's "Blue Monday" is 30 years old today. I'm going to go sit down for a sec.

Wow. I was only 3 when it came out, but i spent all of middle school and after playing it constantly...

And I still have that 12" single from when I originally bought it from Tower Records - Sunset Blvd.

Oh hell yeah! This and Confusion - two of the frist tracks that had what I considered at the time to be realistic sounding drum machines. I still listen to this from time to time.

It really was an amazing track when it came out and it's held up well. It was such a huge influence on so much electronic music! So many people asked me to program stuff like that over the years.
